Zach Abraham has been in the financial services industry for more than a decade. He began his career at Russell Investments working with the retirement distribution team. He went on to get his Series 7 and 66 while working for Wells Fargo as a Financial Advisor. Before starting Bulwark, Mr. Abraham served as Chief Investment Officer for Abraham & Co., Inc. – a boutique broker/dealer and wealth management firm in Gig Harbor. Zach started Bulwark Capital Management so that he could provide fee-based services and move away from securities transactions as a method of compensation. “I wanted to get into the fiduciary space of true partnership with my clients. I was already providing my best recommendations, and I wanted to formalize that and become a legal fiduciary. With a fee-based business model, our fates are tied—my success is based on achieving financial success for my clients,” Zach says. Bulwark’s clients like the easy flow of communication they get from the firm, which is a point of pride and an ongoing objective. “We always try to be in reach,” Zach says. But more than that, it’s Bulwark’s focus on doing better than the market that inspires. “I often say that if you’re just going to ‘ride out the market,’ then why pay anyone to handle your money? Our firm’s goal is to do a better job for you than you can do on your own,” he says. Mr. Abraham is a Washington native who holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Pacific Lutheran University, where he played football. He is also the host of “Know Your Risk Radio” which simulcasts on multiple platforms. Zach stays busy with his wife and three young children and is a passionate golfer whenever he can find time to get on the course. He is involved with community charities, including a local youth homeless shelter. Chase Taylor spent most of his adult life serving in the United States Air Force. He held several positions during his 17 years of service: avionics specialist on B-1 Bombers, a geospatial intelligence analyst, and then commissioned to become an acquisitions officer. The Air Force provided him life-changing experiences and allowed him to travel the world. This worldview and his desire to understand the great financial crisis propelled Mr. Taylor into his passion for financial markets. He’s spent the last 16 years investing and writing about the markets and all they encompass. In 2018, Mr. Taylor founded Pinecone Macro Research where he publishes those writings to individuals and institutions. Chase has been the Head of Research at Bulwark Capital for the last year where he works on everything from security analysis to forecasting the big trends that shape the market. Mr. Taylor has a Bachelor of Arts in Intelligence Studies from American Military University and is finishing his Master of Science in Foresight from the University of Houston.

In Episode 395 of Hidden Forces, Demetri Kofinas speaks with Zach Abraham and Chase Taylor about the recent revision in the Fed’s summary of economic projections, the investment opportunities in Latin America, the economic effects of the war in Syria, the state of the outgoing Biden administration, and the economic prospects associated with a second and more invigorated Trump administration in 2025.
They spend the first hour discussing how Fed policy, demographics, and systematic passive flows continue to drive mean reversion in equity markets and whether the most recent drawdown is yet another opportunity to buy the dip or if the downside risk to investors is beginning to outweigh the fear of missing out on the next rally.
In the second hour, Demetri, Zach, and Chase discuss the political and economic experiment being undertaken by Javier Milei’s administration in Argentina, whether the country is becoming investable again, how it may serve as a role model for neighboring countries in Latin America, and how Chase and Zach are approaching this potentially enormous investment opportunity.
